Bandipora, Authorities have booked a teenage boy under Public Safety Act (PSA) for being “threat to maintenance of public order.”
Tajamul Rasool Mir, 14, son of Ghulam Rasool Mir of New Colony Bunpora Saderkoot was arrested by Hajin police on charges of stone pelting and organizing pro-freedom and anti-India rallies in Hajin town.
Subsequently, the District Magistrate Bandipora vide order No.35/DMB/PSA/2016/375-80 dated 16-09-2016 detained him under PSA and shifted him to Kotbalwal Jail in Jammu after going through the material produced by the Superintendent of Police (Bandipora) against Tajamul Rasool. “Whereas on the basis of dossier placed before me by the Superintendent of Police Bandipora vide No. Lgl/Dossier: 48/2016/23623-26, Dated 15-09-2016. I am satisfied that there is sufficient grounds to prevent Tajamul Rasool Mir from acting in any manner which is prejudicial to the maintenance of public order and it is necessary to detain him under Public Safety Act, 1978,” .
