2 missing ladies traced in Ashmuqam
Srinagar, May 11 (GNS): Two teenage ladies who went missing yesterday at Ashmuqam forest area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district were traced by police on Wednesday evening. They had lost way in dense forest where they had gone to graze the cattle, a senior police official told news agency GNS.
He said that Rubeena (19) wife of Mohammad Altaf Paswal and Jabeena (16) daughter of Ishfaq Paswal, both residents of Lenoo hamlet of Ashmuqam on Tuesday morning went towards the nearby forest area for grazing their cattle.
However, the duo didn’t return home till late in the evening. Worried about their safety, the family members filed a missing report with concerned police station on Wednesday.
Soon after the report was filed, concerned SHO took the matter with their senior officers and constituted several police parties to trace out the missing ladies.
“Late today in the evening they were found at a place which is very far away and a dense forest area,” SHO Ashmuqam Inam-ul-Assad when contacted told GNS. He said that both of them had lost way. (GNS)
