3 cops injured in Chadoora grenade attack
Srinagar, May 6 (GNS): Three policemen sustained splinter injuries in a grenade attack at Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.
A police official told Global News Service (GNS) that unknown persons lobbed a hand grenade towards a police party at around 11:28 am today. The grenade, exploded with a bang resulting in injuries to at least three cops.
“All the injured have been shifted to nearby hospital for treatment, “the official said.
Witnesses said panic gripped the area soon after the attack with people running towards safer places.
Soon after the attack, army, CRPF and police cordoned off the whole area and launched searches to nab the attackers. (GNS)
