3 LeT militants die in Kakapora gunfight, civilian killed in clashes


PULWAMA, Three Lashkar-e-Toiba militants died in a gunfight with government forces in Kakapora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday, even as a civilian was shot dead and at least 70 others injured by government forces in massive clashes which erupted after the gun-battle ended. The gunfight that started late last night in New Colony, Kakpora, ended this morning with the killing of LeT militants who were later identified as Majid Mir son of Abdul Hameed of Railway Colony Kakapora, Shaakir Ahmad Gugjoo son of Bashir Ahmad of Main Bazaar Kakapora and Sheeraz Ahmad Dar son of Muhammad Sultan of Aganzipora Awantipora.
