Srinagar, Nearly 200 food packets and one 100 dry ration packets have been distributed by the Jammu and Kashmir Youth Development Forum (JKYDF) a major youth orginisation of J&K to underprivileged families , migrants and militancy effected families in the Valley. The beneficiaries are being given flour, rice, pulses, oil and salt as dry ration, while cooked food is distributed to the needy. On the festival of Eid JKYDF is also distributed 100 special food kits among the BPL families before Eid.
To ensure that the relief in terms of food and other materials reached the targeted section, JKYDF have also surveyed over 4,000 households in Kashmir Valley to identify those who are in need of assistance both in cash and kind. JKYDF spokesperson said that while all efforts are being made to help the needy during Covid-19 crises and our organization is working 24hrs for needy in J&K .
