BUDGAM: Senior separatist leader and president Anjuman Shari Shian Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi said attempts to abrogate Article 35A are directly aimed at changing the demographic character of the state.
He said it will have a direct bearing on our Right to self-determination guaranteed by the Indian state at the UN and ratified by the world body.
While addressing a large gathering at Imam Bara Budgam, according to local news gatherer CNS, Aga Hasan said since coming to power the current dispensation in Delhi is constantly engaged in fulfilling its long term agenda of total integration of J&K with the Indian Union through a demographic change and is using the judicial route for this purpose. He said people of Kashmir will never allow it to happen and will fight out this grave assault as they have been bravely and peacefully fighting for their fundamental right for the past seventy years. He said that Government of India considers Jammu Kashmir as its colony and attempts everything in its control to suppress the resistance of the people of Jammu Kashmir.
Expressed deep grief and anger at the killing of young student Shahid Bashir Wani who was picked up by the Indian army and killed in cold blood he asked how long will we carry the dead bodies of our youth killed with impunity, while the world looks the other the way and does not raise its voice against such brutality.
Aga Hasan also castigated the government for depriving the people at Rakh-e-Arth of all facilities. “These people were rehabilitated there but are being discriminated badly,” he said.
