Srinagar, April 28 (GNS): Nine government employees were suspended in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday for their unauthorized absence from duty.
Acting upon the directions of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla and to ensure the presence of government officials in the offices, Tehsildar Baramulla today in a surprise visit inspected various offices.
During the inspection the 9 Officials from CA&PD Department were found unauthorizedly absent from duty. All the 9 absentees were put under suspension by the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla upon the reports of Tehsildar Baramulla.
The order in this regard was issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal, today.
The suspended officials belonged to Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department (CAPD).
“The DC has warned of strict action against absenteeism and directed all the officers/officials for improving work culture so that speedy and hassle-free public service delivery is ensured,” an official spokesperson said.
