9-Days Veterinary Internship Training Programme With Army Concludes

Srinagar, June 17: The nine days interns training programme which was inaugurated on 09th Jun concluded here today at Army Veterinary Hospital, Haft Chinar, an official in a statement issued here said.
“The function saw august presence of Prof. H.U Malik, (Prof. & Head Div, Veterinary Clinical Medicine & Veterinary Clinical Services Complex, Prof B.A Molvi, (Prof. & Head Div of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology) at Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, SKUAST Suhama, Senior Army Officers apart from 06 other faculty members and 40 students undergoing their internship for BVSc”, the official said.
One of the students Ambreen Hamadani sharing her thoughts said “The nine day training course on Equines was an experience that will be cherished by me for many years to come. Having heard from our seniors about the quality of this training we were anticipating a wonderful experience and were in no way disappointed.
From presentations by distinguished Army officers to actual demonstration on the animals, everything was spot on. We are now equipped with first hand information about equines and are sure it would benefit us for many years to come. In our journey to acquire professional acumen, we also gained many Army ethics on the way. Punctuality, discipline, respect and a sense of responsibility to say a few”
Yet another student Omar Mohi-Ud-Din Sofi while interacting with the dignitaries told that seeing the way the veterinary profession is practiced at this Army Veterinary Hospital it was a dream come true and he wished to be associated with Indian Army and RVC through his profession.
Prof. H.U Malik in his address thanked Lt Gen Satish Dua, GOC, Chinar Corps and the Hospital for continuing this noble professional relationship which started in the year 2004 and expressed his gratitude for Indian Army for this initiative of empowering youth through skill development.
On successful completion of training certificates were awarded to the students.
