After uproar in LA, Kashmiri girls held at IGI airport released


Srinagar | June 18 : After uproar in the state assembly over the detention of two Kashmiri girls at IGI airport, government today said both the girls have been let off.
Government spokesman and Minister for Education Naeem Akhtar informed the Lower House that the two girls have been questioned by the police over some “suspicion”. He said that they were later let off.
Notably, four Kashmiri girls were detained by Delhi police on Friday morning and two of them were later released and two detained when CIFF personnel at IGI airport found “Bomb” label on one of the luggage of the girls.
