ARMY CONTINUES WITH EMPLOYMENT DRIVE AT HAIDERBEG
Haiderbeg, June 14: In continuation with the ongoing employment drive by Army in collaboration with TCS, Udaan scheme of Central govt, over 120 fresh graduates of North Kashmir area were interviewed today at Zorawar Hall of Army at Haiderbeg, army’s defence spokesperson in a statement issued here said.
The telephonic interviews were conducted for employment of fresh graduates with fluency in written and spoken English who have graduated from year 2012 to 2016, for all India vacancies through the leading placement company of the country, Tata Consultancy Services, he said.
The selected candidates will be given seven days of joining time after the declaration of results. Initially for first fourteen weeks while undergoing training, the candidates will be given a stipend of Rs 6,000/- per month apart from travel, boarding and lodging expenses and Rs 15,000/- per month on job confirmation.
The candidates were very enthusiastic, eager and participated whole heartedly for the interview of the corporate giant, TCS, he said.
They also said that they look forward for more such opportunities in future to get a better chance for employment and career building. The interviews for the aspirants of South Kashmir will be held at Awantipura on 15 June 2016. Under Udaan scheme hundreds of fresh graduates from Valley have been employed across the Country who have made their careers through these initiatives of Army, he said.
ARMY ORGANISES NI TOUR FOR LOCAL STUDENTS
Army today set upon an educational tour for 20 boy students of various Higher Secondary School of Srinagar under the supervision of an Army officer and two School Teachers, army’s defence spokesperson in a statement issued here said.
The ten days educational and motivation tour to Mumbai, Pune was flagged off by Brigadier Vinay Bahl, Dy GOC of Sub Area based at BB Cantt. The tour has been aimed to introduce the students to diverse cultural, social- economic and historical dimensions and various educational institutes of the country, he said.
The tour itinerary for Mumbai includes visit to Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai to provide an insight into the ongoing scientific and technology projects. An interaction with FOC-in-C, Western Naval Command alongwith a trip to Naval Dockyard is also part of the schedule. For an exposure to the entertainment industry, interaction with film celebrities and a trip to Adlabs Imagica has also been organised. The tour to Pune entails visit to Premier Armed Forces and educational institutions like National Defence Academy, College of Military Engineering, Armed Forces Medical College, Army Physical Training Centre, Airforce station Lohegaon and Ferguson College. Students will also explore historical heritage of India by visiting Mastani Mahal, Shaniwar Wada and Agha Khan Palace, he said.
The joyous & spirited children said that they are carrying the massage of “Peace Love & Honour” to the various parts of country. The parents, guardians, Principals & teachers who were present at the flagging off ceremony also expressed their happiness at such opportunities being offered to their children and lauded the efforts of Army in conducting such educative tours for their brighter futures, he added.
