ARMY FACILITATES EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR KASHMIRI GRADUATES
Baramulla, June 13: Army based at Baramulla organised the TCS interviews as part of employment drive under Udaan scheme of Central government for over 30 young graduates (including 6 girls) of J&K for employment in various MNC. These candidates hailed from the area of Baramulla and Rampur, a defence spokesperson in a statement issued here said.
“The telephonic interviews were conducted for employment of fresh graduates who passed out from the year 2012 onwards, for all India vacancies in the leading software company of the country, TCS. However, Post Graduates also took up the interview who would be treated as priority two candidates as the fresh Graduates will be given preference over them. The candidates who get selected will be given seven days time to join the training after declaration of the results”, he said.
The candidates were very enthusiastic and participated in this unique initiative for young graduates, he said.
Four such drives have already been conducted by the Chinar Corps in the last two years where in hundreds of candidates belonging to different parts of the Valley have made their fortune. These candidates have completed their training and got employed in TCS in different disciplines, he said.
In the ongoing drive, 50 -60 candidates will be selected for training that will be conducted at Kolkota. The interviews for the aspirants of Central & South kashmir will be held at Haiderbegh and Awantipora on 14 & 15 June respectively. The aspirants can try their luck by availing the opportunity as this is a golden chance for the young graduates to get best jobs in the country, he said.
ARMY HOLDS YOUTH GUIDANCE SEMINAR AT HAIDERBIEG
Army based at Haiderbieg organised a youth guidance seminar today to provide awareness towards career opportunities available to the youth under the various schemes offered by Army, a defence spokesperson in a statement issued here said.
An interactive lecture was conducted at Zorawar Hall Haiderbieg on Territorial Army commissioning under the aegis of Chinar Corps, he said.
Over 100 graduate, post graduate and under graduate students attended the lecture and benefitted from the information and guidance given to them. Brig SH Naqvi, Commander Haiderbeig Camp along with many Army officials also interacted with the children during the seminar. All the queries of the students were addressed and they got an insight into the various privileges offered by the Territorial Army, he said.
This is another initiative by the Army to meet the aspirations of the locals in enhancing job opportunities for them, he added.
