Army organises ‘Orientation Programme at SKUAST (K)

Srinagar, May 31: The Army Veterinary Hospital under the aegis of Chinar Corps organised a one day orientation programme at Haft Chinar on equine management and treatment for 1st year students of Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology -Kashmir.
“The programme was attended by 74 students of BVSC & AH, faculty members Dr Raoof Ah Pattoo & Dr Sheikh Adil Hamid & Officers of Haft Chinar garrison”, an official in a statement issued here said.
The programme laid emphasis on helping students to gain practical knowledge of various aspects of equine management and latest techniques used in equine practice. The students were given practical demonstration of various techniques on handling of horses and mules , the official said.
One of the student while sharing his experience told that the orientation programme had been very beneficial and added immensely to their knowledge on the subject as they were exposed to several new techniques and procedures .The ambience, working environment and discipline here impressed me the most ,he added.
The faculty accompanying the students thanked the Army for providing the platform for exchange of professional knowledge. They said that they would like to continue this association with Indian Army and would take it to a higher level.
