Birdi is new DIG North Kashmir

Srinagar, The government on Wednesday ordered transfers and new postings in the police department. According to an order, Nitish Kumar, presently looking after the assignment of DIG (North Kashmir-Baramulla), is transferred and shall await further orders in the Home department. Ashkoor Ahmad Wani, looking after the assignment of DIG, JKS Range, is transferred and posted as IGP CIV, PHQ against an available vacancy.

Vidhi Kumar Birdi, awaiting orders of adjustment, is posted as DIG North Kashmir, Baramulla.

Meanwhile, the government placed the services of Viplav Kumar Choudhry, IGP, at the disposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs, for his appointment as deputy inspector general in the National Investigation Agency on deputation for five years from the date he assumes the charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. It also placed the services of LaltenduMohanti, ADGP, at the disposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs, for his appointment as inspector general in the Border Security Force on deputation for five years from the date he assumes the charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Manohar Singh, SSP presently attached with the office of principal resident commissioner New Delhi, J&K is transferred and posted as CO-IR 24th battalion against an available vacancy.
