Body of girl who jumped into river Jehlum in Baramulla on May 15, found in Salamabad dam
Srinagar, May 20 (GNS): Police on Wednesday fished out body of a girl who commits suicide by jumping in river Jehlum last week in Baramulla, from a dam in Salamabad area of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.
A police official told news agency GNS that a police party recovered a semi decomposed body from Salamabad dam today in the morning. Later, the body has been identified as Rehana (17) daughter of Ghulam Mohammad Mir of Rohama, Baramulla.
He said after completing all legal formalities, the body was handed over to her family members for last rites,” the official said.
Pertinently, the 17-year-old girl, Rehana jumped into river Jhelum from Cement bridge on May 15. (GNS)
