Chief Secretary Reviews Developmental scenario of Sopore


Baramulla(sopore), Chief Secretary J&K state B B Vyas today chaired a meeting of officers at Dak Bungalow Sopore to review the pace and postion of various developmental projects of Sopore town.  Meeting was attended by DGP Dr S P Vaid,IG,North Kashmir, DDC Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash,SSP Sopore  ADDC Baramulla,  ADC sopore, Engineers of line departments and other district and sectoral officers.

B B Vyas took a comprehensive review of various undertaken projects wherein he exhorted upon the concerned to ramp up the pace of work so that they are completed within stipulated time frame. He took sector wise review of the departments wherein the concerned informed him about the position of works undertaken into their respective departments.

Emphasizing upon officers for ensuring availibility of all essentials, the Chief Secretary directed the concerned to provide uninterrupted power and water supply to the people so that they may not face any inconvenience. He urged upon the officers to work with zeal and enthusiasm and adopt new and modern technologies so that the pace of work is prompted.

While reviewing the dredging process of river Jhelum, the Chief Secretary directs the concerned to mobilize men and machinery so that the work is completed as early as possible.

Moreover the Chief Secretary was also appraised with  various issues confronting the way of developmental work wherein he assured  to redress them in a time bound manner.

On the ocassion the DDC briefed the Chief Secretary about various projects being undertaken and said that out of the total alloted budget, almost 65% of it have been utilised and the work on the remaining is with great zeal and vigor.
