Balapore, April 23: Providing a platform for the children to give expression to their creativity and love for homeland as also to create awareness about environmental conservation, the Army today conducted a painting competition at Army Goodwill School Balapore, an army spokesperson in a statement issued here said.
The competition was conducted for primary, junior and senior categories with the themes of ‘Save Trees-Save Life’, ‘Kashmir – Paradise on Earth’ and ‘My Dream’, the spokesperson said.
The event saw enthusiastic participation of the students who were seen giving shape and colour to their beautiful imagination, the spokesperson said.
The principal AGS, Balapore, Mr Rafiq Ahmed, local Army unit personnel, village elders and parents were unanimous in commending the immense talent that was on display and expressed confidence that such events will go a long way in helping the children in shaping their futures, the spokesperson said.
It will instill healthy competitive spirit in the children leading to their overall personality development. All participants including the winners in each category were suitably felicitated with prizes and certificates, the spokesperson said.
