Srinagar, April 2 (GNS): Police Saturday imposed strict curfew like restrictions in Khrew area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir which has been on edge since more than month due to dispute between local truckers.
According to GNS correspondent, the police imposed strict restrictions across Khrew after massive clashes between locals and forces broke out yesterday. Hundreds of police and paramilitary CRPF personnel were deployed since morning and they didn’t allow anyone to venture out of his or her house.
Pertinent to mention here that two truck unions are at logger heads with each other at Khrew over transportation of cement from and to the cement factories. Though the government and police intervened in the dispute but so far no solution is in sight. (GNS)
