Srinagar:- Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Yasin Malik’s sister on Friday said they were “extremely worried” about his well-being.
Addressing a press conference at the Malik’s Maisuma residence, his sister appealed people to pray for the JKLF chief who has been remanded to judicial custody till May 24.
“Why has he (Malik) been subjected to solitary confinement? We are extremely worried about his well-being. He won’t sustain for long in that cage,” said Malik’s sister.
She said that the government would be responsible if anything bad happened to Malik. “God forbid, if anything bad happened to him they (government) would be responsible. He (Malik) is in a very bad shape,” she said.
A Delhi court last week sent Malik to judicial custody till May 24. He was arrested in a case related to alleged funding of separatists and militant groups in Jammu and Kashmir.
The court had sent Malik to NIA custody. He was brought to Delhi after a court in Kashmir granted his transit remand to the National Investigation Agency.
