Fire, blasts inside steel factory in Pulwama, 4 workers injured

Pulwama, April 29: At least four persons sustained burn injuries in gas cylinder blasts at Lasipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

A police official told news agency GNS that fire broke out inside Diamond Steel Factory in Lasipora this afternoon and subsequently several gas cylinders exploded resulting in injuries to four workers.

In the meantime, the Iron Machine also blasted resulting in severe damage to the factory, he said

“All the injured were immediately shifted to nearby hospital for treatment. The incident also created panic in the locality”.

Meanwhile, a police party rushed to the spot to ascertain the cause of incident.  (GNS)
