QUETTA – Former Balochistan Home Minister Nawabzada Gazain Marri on Thursday warned if the province was overlooked in the CPEC project], they would have no option but to go for agitation .
Talking to journalists at his residence, Marri said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was an imperative project for ameliorating the fate of the province. Criticising the ruling nationalist parties in the province, he said they had no reservations over China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project while sitting on the treasury benches, but now when general polls are approaching, these parties have started raising objections over it. The former Balochistan home minister said after his coming to the country, parliamentarians and leaders of various political parties had contacted him with the invitation to join them.
After arriving in Quetta after 18-year self-exile in Dubai, Marri was detained by the law-enforcement agencies for various cases and was released on bail, later.
“Some closed friends have suggested formation of an alliance to exclusively concentrate on Balochistan issues, but my personal interest is to join a national-level party and struggle for solution to 70-year-long problems of the province,” Gazain Marri was quoted as saying.
