Srinagar, June 8: Terming the statements of the PDP-BJP coalition government over Sainik Colony, satellite townships for Kashmiri Pandits and the new industrial policy as vague, ambiguous and confusing, Hurriyat Conference (M) Wednesday said these anti-Kashmiri policies were wrought with alarming consequences and the resistance leadership would not stay silent over these issues.
A spokesman in a statement said plans were being made to harm the collective interests of the people which would be strongly opposed to ensure that the interests of people are not harmed.
Appealing people to make the protest progammes, given collectively by the resistance leadership against these measures a success, the statement said opposing these moves had become unavoidable.
Urging Imams of all the Masjids to inform people about the serious consequences of these moves of the government in their Friday sermons on June 10, the statement urged them to aware the people about the importance of the protest programme of resistance leadership against these plans so as to make it a success.
The unified resistance leadership further said in the statement that a seminar would be organized on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Hyderpora to create awareness about the anti-Kashmir plans of the government while a symbolic sit-in protest has been called to be observed on Wednesday June 15, 2016.
Condemning placing curbs on the movement of resistance leadership and their harassment, continued arrest of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik at Central Jail Srinagar, house arrest of veteran resistance leader Syed Ali Geelani and other resistance leaders, detentions and house arrests of resistance activists and freedom-loving people, the APHC statement said these measures cannot force the resistance leadership and people to give up their struggle for just rights.
