If all our children need coaching then what are our schools doing, asks education minister

Srinagar, Minister for education Syed Altaf Bukhari Tuesday threatened the private coaching centres with closure if they did not “rectify several existing problems in their set-up” within six months.

Addressing a group of parents and students at the “sports day event” at Hat Trick Public School at Zakura here, Bukhari said: “Our coaching centres have virtually turned into photostat machines where the children are handed over bundles of photocopied notes.”
