Imam killed, Four others sustained bullet injuries in Nutnussa Firing.


Srinagar April 15: A youth was killed and 4 others sustained serious bullet injuries in forces action at Nutnussa Area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara District on Friday.
Official sources told news agency GNS that a group of people staged a strong protest demonstration at Natnussa against killings of four persons by forces following alleged molestation bid in Handwara.
The people were protesting against the killings of four persons including a 65 year old woman in allegedly in police firing on Tuesday.
As the protesters clashed with government forces ,they opened fire resulting in injuries to five persons. All the injured persons were rushed to District Hospital Handwara. However one of the injured identified as Arif Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar resident of Awoora succumbed to injuries.
Arif Dar, an Imam by profession have sustained two bullet wounds and died due to excessive loss of blood , a doctor told GNS.
The doctor further said that three more injured persons were referred to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment, Meanwhile Pro freedom leaders has called for complete shutdown.
