Kashmir issue poses a threat to world peace: Hurriyat (G)


Srinagar, Hurriyat Conference (G) on Monday said that Kashmir issue poses a threat to world peace and asked UNO and international community to take measures for the resolution of the dispute.
According to a statement issued to KNS, welcoming the statement of Pakistan special envoy Sartaj Aziz, APHC said that UNO had a great role to play in creating a conducive atmosphere and they should impress India to shun their “stubborn attitude and accept ground reality” regarding the long pending Kashmir issue.
The prevailing confrontation and tense situations between India and Pakistan is a war-like situations” saying Kashmir issue poses a threat for world peace and it is proving to be a big obstacle for peace, prosperity and development in the region.”
Hurriyat while hailing statement of Sartaj Aziz and his interest in the issue and termed it as encouraging and added “War and inconsistencies are no options, instead they cause devastation and destruction. Both India and Pakistan are nuclear countries and any flare up can prove extremely detrimental,” Hurriyat added.
Hurriyat Conference expressed deep shock and grief over the death of nine people in a tragic incident in Reasi. In a condolence message Huriyat prayed for the heavenly abode for deceased and forbiddance and patience for the grieved families. (KNS)
