#Kathua: Student protests continue in Kashmir, outside

Srinagar, Students from Jammu and Kashmir studying at the Central University of Karnataka along with some local students inside the varsity premises on Tuesday organised a candlelight march for justice to Kathua rape and murder victim.“We highlighted the core issue like demanding the immediate punishment for the accused, action against the advocates who tried to stop police for filing the charge sheet, the involvement of Police officers in this severe crime and the support of people for the accused with the national flag,” the students told over phone from Karnataka.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Kashmiri Students on Tuesday evening staged a protest demonstration under the Banner of J&K students Association in solidarity with the eight-year-old nomadic girl Asifa, who was first raped and then killed in Rasana, Hiranagar village of Jammu Kashmir’s Kathua district in Selaque area of Dehradun.
