Leopard kills two sheep in Rohmoo

Srinagar, April 25: A man-eater leopard, who is on prowl since last many days, today attacked a sheep herd in Rohmoo village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

According to GNS correspondent, the leopard who has created a reign of terror among locals since last couple of weeks days, today appeared again in Rohmoo and attacked a herd of sheep, killing two.

“The leopard then ran away from orchards even as he was chased away by people. The police and Wild Life teams have started searches for the man-eater leopard to rein him,” an official said.

Meanwhile, the locals of the area said they are living under constant fear since the appearance of the leopard. The locals accused Wild Life Department of failure and said: “our kids and daughters are frightened because the threat of attack by leopard always looms large on their heads.”
