Manmohan Singh-led delegation arrives in Kashmir


Srinagar, A delegation of Congress party led by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived in Srinagar on Saturday.

_The delegation, according to former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad is likely to meet over 40 delegations during their visit._

Singh is heading the Congress policy group that includes P Chidambaram, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ambika Soni and Karan Singh.

During its two-day visit to Kashmir, a Congress spokesman said the group would meet a number of delegations, opposition parties, 2014 flood victims and ‘Panchayat Raj Forum’.

The group has held three meetings in New Delhi and Jammu to “look into ways for finding a peaceful solution to the current impasse” in the state.
