Modi hits back at Akhilesh, says donkeys are loyal, shoulder responsibilities

“A donkey also gives us inspiration as it remains always remains loyal to the master and shoulders,” he added.

Taking a jibe at the Congress, Modi said, “You (Akhilesh) have joined hands with those who had issued a postal stamp on Gujarat’s donkeys in 2013.”

“Akhileshji, the place for are attributing to a donkey is the very place where Gandhi and Sardar Patel were born, and Krishna made it his ‘karmbhoomi‘,” he added.

Akhilesh, earlier on Monday last, had made an apparent attack on Modi by making “donkey” remark while referring to an advertisement of Gujarat government in which megastar Amitabh Bachchan promotes tourism in the state.

Without taking any name, he had “advised” the “biggest Bollywood actor of the century” not to “campaign for the donkeys of Gujarat”.
