Muqam-e-Shahwali residents protest ‘insufficient ration’ supply

Srinagar, April 8 (GNS): Residents of Muqam-e-Shah Wali area of Kupwara district of south Kashmir today staged a protest against CAPD Department for insufficient ration supply to their area.

The residents told news agency GNS that from two months the CAPD is supplying insufficient ration to their area and as a result dozens of families get deprived of ration.

“Since two months, insufficient ration is supplied and distributed to us. As a result, 100 ration holders in both these months respectively were deprived of ration,” they said and demanded sufficient supply.

The residents also said that the CAPD has made grave errors in the forms and this has led to confusion among consumers. “There is total mess and people have been left in lurch. We urge CM Mehbooba Mufti, Minister CAPD Zulfikar Choudary and Director concerned Mushtaq Ahmad Shah to kindly direct CAPD authorities to rectify the errors,” they added. (GNS)
