Srinagar, J&K Mountaineering and Hiking Club (JKMHC) and Harmukh Adventurers have hailed Nahida Manzoor for becoming first Kashmiri woman to scale Mount Everest.
Terming it a great feat, known adventurer and President of JKMHC Mahmood Ahmad Shah said that it was a proud moment for whole J&K adventure fraternity. “A great news is coming from Everest, Nahida has become first woman from Kashmir to scale World’s highest peak. She has made all of us proud,” Shah said.
Manzoor Mir of Harmukh Adventurers said that they had been supporting Nahida as they knew she would make it to the summit.
“We at Harmukh have been supporting her and in fact flagged off her for the journey. She had passion for adventure sport from young age and today she has made all of us proud. Apart from her there is another Kashmir adventurer Reeza Ali on Everest and he is about to make attempt in next couple of days,” Manzoor said.
