National like adalat  held at Baramulla


Baramulla, In its efforts to deliver speedy justice and to curtail the overburden of pendency of cases, a National lok Adalat was today organized in the premises of District Court Complex Baramulla with Principal District and Sessions Judge Rajesh Shekri   in chair. Lok Adalat was organized by District Legal services Authority during which the cases  of various natures including Criminal, Bank cases, MACT cases ,Matrimonial ,Electricity and water bills ,Revenue and other cases were taken into consideration.

On the occasion, three benches were constituted wherein the first bench was presided by Principal District and Sessions Judge Rajesh Shekri, second one was presided by Ist Additional District and sessions Judge Jeema Bashir and the third bench was presided by Munsif Judical Magistrate Baramulla Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi.

As many as 15,500 cases were taken up during which 14,387 cases were settled amicably on the spot besides Rs 47,00000. was realized as settlement amount.
