NHM Employees are the Backbone of Health Department: Sheikh Minhaj Larvi


Srinagar:Chief Spokesperson Jammu and Kashmir Media Students Union and President J&K Youth Development Front Sheikh Minhaj Larvi has urged the Governor Administration to fulfil the genuine demands of National Health Mission(NHM) Employees, who are on strike since last years.
Larvi said NHM employees are the backbone of health department as the strike by NHM staff has ruined an every thread of daily functioning of Health department, as patients are suffering in rural as well as urban areas.
These employees are paid only one third of emoluments in comparison to their counterparts in the State which needs to be enhanced substantially keeping in view the nature of their duties. These employees are working on meagre salaries for more than a decade without having any job security.
Governor administration must fulfil the promises made with these employees and immediately formulate a policy for the regularization including doctors, paramedical and management staff working under NHM.
Sheikh Said, that this sensitive issue must be the cause of concern for our so called representatives and the people with the helm of affairs should not keep their eyes closed on this sensitive issue.
