In a statement issued to Kashmir Glory, a party spokesman termed the remarks of the minister as highly unfortunate aimed to intimidate a minority community. The remarks have revealed a lot about the sinister plans of the ruling coalition in the state, the statement added.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of district president JKPCC Pulwama Ghulam Mohammad Mir at Pinglena Pulwama. Among the other party activists present on the occasion included Mohammad Anwar Bhat (Vice-president JKPCC), Abdul Qayoom Shah (District President Shopian), Omar Jan (Senior Congress Leader Pulwama), Shoaib Ahmad Malik and Uzair Ahmad Dahal.

Concerned over the dismal performance of the party at state and central level, the members laid special emphasis to strengthen the party cadres as to give an overhaul to the party’s image, the statement added.
