Srinagar, Four persons were killed and five injured after a passenger vehicle met with an accident on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
An official said that a vehicle on way to Jammu plunged into a 500ft gorge and landed at the banks of Bishlari nallah near Digdol – 12 kms from Ramban – resulting into on spot death of three passengers.
SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar said that six people, including two children and a woman, were injured.
They were rushed to District Hospital Ramban where one of the injured succumbed, taking the death toll to four.
The woman’s condition remains critical while two minors are responding to the treatment.
