PDP looking new face for Ganderbal


Srinagar: People’s Democratic Party reportedly has been looking for a new face for Ganderbal Assembly constituency and if sources are to be believed the party will field an known political leader of Ganderbal as its candidate in the upcoming Assembly elections.

PDP face from Ganderbal Assembly Constituency Qazi Mohd Afzal has already won elections from the constituency against Omer Abdullah but the party believes that Qazi may cut a sorry figure this time if given a mandate. The party insiders feel that anti-incumbency factor may play a key role in upcoming elections in Ganderbal.

Party insiders told news agency CNI that instead of Qazi and Nayeem Akthar , this time party may filed Farooq Ganderbali who according to them is very close to party leadership . Farooq is a renowned wealthy businessman and ex District President of PDP is keen to contest elections on PDP ticket from Ganderbal Assembly Constituency.
