Resistance camp calls for shutdown today, Kulgam Chalo on February 15


Srinagar, In wake of civilian killings in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday, Kashmir’s joint resistance leadership including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik called for a complete shutdown on February 13 (Monday) and a march to Kulgam on February 15 (Wednesday).

In a statement issued here, the pro-freedom leaders also strongly condemned “use of brute force” against civilians in Frisal, Kulgam and termed the forces’ action as “worst kind of state terrorism.”

“Such merciless acts will never be tolerated and we are obliged to resent and raise our voice against the state-sponsored terrorism,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, Democratic Freedom Party chairman Shabir Ahmed Shah extended his support to both the strike call and march to Kulgam.
