Restrictions in Srinagar, Kupwara today




Srinagar, April 14: In view of the prevailing situation and call for protests against Handwara killings, the authorities have decided to continue imposition of curfew like restrictions in Srinagar and Kupwara areas of the Valley.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Lone told GNS that the restrictions shall be extended to Kralkhud police station. “The restrictions would continue in Nowhatta, Safa Kadal, Khanyar, Rainawari, Maisuma and MR Gunj. Besides, it would be extended to Kralkhud police station,” he said.
A top official meanwhile told GNS that the strict curfew would be imposed in Kupwara parts including Handwara, Langate, Drugmulla, Kulangam and Magam. He said section 144, which prohibits assembly of more than four people, would be imposed in Baramulla and Sopore.
