Rs 500 cr from PM Package to go for horticulture dev in JK


Minister of State in PM Office, Dr Jitendra Singh today announced the union cabinet decision to provide Rs 500 crore from PM’s Development Package for Jammu & Kashmir towards restoration of damaged horticulture areas and development of horticulture in the state, which will “directly benefit thousands of apple growers and apple orchardists in the State.”

At the same time, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi also approved one-time relaxation of “Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH)” cost norms for implementation of PM’s package for Jammu & Kashmir, a statement here said.
