Srinagar, May 24: Terming the encounter, in which the two youth were killed by armed forces in the Saria Bala Srinagar on Monday, as ‘staged’, Dukhtaran-e-Millat chairperson, Syed Asiya Andrabi, has appealed the government of Pakistan to approach the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against India’s disregard of the international laws.
“Two of our youth were killed mercilessly in a fake encounter in Saria Bala and a similar kind of encounter was staged in Drugmulla, Kupwra last week. There is no information about the identity of these youth. By all means, these encounters were staged,” she said.
She said that the way Indian forces were killing innocent Kashmiri youth under the protection of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) was a clear violation of the international laws. “Government of Pakistan must understand that India, at all levels, is trying to dilute the disputed nature of JK. So it is the responsibility of Pakistan to counter these aggressive and oppressive tactics of India,” she added.
She said that Pakistan must approach the International Court of Justice (ICJ) at the earliest. “Though India has been maiming and killing Kashmiris from the past seven decades, it has been more aggressive in its approach in the recent past,” she said.
