SDGP orders creation of Police Community Partnership Groups(PCPGs)


Srinagar , In order to redress the grievances of the general people the J&K police has ordered the creation of Police Community Partnership Groups (PCPGs) in Kashmir zone.

In this regard Special DGP Coordination, Law& order, Dr. S.P Vaid has issued detailed directions to all the district SsP of the Kashmir Zone today.

In his directions the SDGP has directed that a number of these groups should be created at police station and police post level. The members should be selected from all sections of the society including social, religious leaders and also opinion makers. It has been also ordered that the concerned SHOs will hold the meet of PCPG members once in month, SDPOs and DySsP once in two months and concerned SsP once in three months.

The PCPGs are aimed at providing a grievance redressal mechanism so that police becomes a facilitator in solving the problems being faced by general public.

Shri. S.P Vaid has sought a fortnightly report from the concerned district SsP. In this regard it has also been directed that the district SsP to raise the grievances/ problems not related to police with the District development commissioners and concerned heads of the respective departments.
