Shepherd injured after attacked by leopard in Pulwama


Pulwama, April 6 (GNS): A shepherd was critically injured after he was attacked by a leopard in Pulwama area south Kashmir on Wednesday.

According to GNS, the man identified as Shabir Ahmad Chopan son of Abdul Aziz of Tujen was attacked by a leopard while he tried to save the folk of sheep’s at Frasipora.

“In the incident, the leopard attacked the shepherd”.

The cries of the Shepherd took the attention of the local residents who immediately rushed to the area and chased away the wild animal, they said.

In the meantime, the injured shepherd was immediately taken to the district hospital where from he was referred to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment, they said. (GNS)
