SOG detains five in Pulwama, Budgam

Srinagar, May 10 (GNS): Special Operation Group (SOG) of police have detained five persons during separate raids in parts of Pulwama and Budgam districts.

Official sources told news agency GNS that the SOG detained four persons during a raid from Nowdal village of Tral in south Kashmir’s Awantipora area of Pulwama district.

The detained persons have been identified as Ikhlaq Majeed son of Majeed Ahmad Bhat, Hilal Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Irshad Majeed son of Abdul Majeed and Rafiq Nabi Bhat son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat, all residents of Nowdal Tral.

Meanwhile, in a separate raid, the SOG detained a person namely Waseem Khan, son of Sheer Gul Khan, a resident of Gundipora village of Beerwah in Budgam.

A senior police officer said all the five persons are being questioned with regard to a particular case. However, he didn’t divulge further details regarding the detentions. (GNS)
