Stray dogs mauled 3-year-old boy in Kupwara, locals accuse authorities of inaction

Srinagar, April  3: A three-year-old boy was injured after attacked by stray dogs while he was walking through a street in Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday.

Manan Mushtaq (3) son of Mushtaq Ahmad of Lalpora Lolab was injured when he was attacked by stray dogs outside his home. The dogs have badly torn his face, locals of the area told Kashmir Glory.

“The boy was playing in the vicinity of his home when the incident took place”.

The said that the cries of the boy got attention of the nearby residents who immediately reached the spot and chased away the dogs, they said.

The locals of the area said that the stray dogs have spread a reign of fear among the school going students. They appealed the authorities to take the measures to control the dog menace at an earliest.
