Two terrorists killed, ops underway


Shopian , Two terrorists were killed during an encounter with security forces on Tuesday morning in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district.”Bodies of two terrorists have been recovered, but the third one is still alive and is present in a house operation going on. He started firing again a few minutes back,” General of Police Muneer Khan said.Few days ago, The Indian Army has killed three militants in an overnight encounter in north Kashmir, the police briefed on Monday morning. All the three terrorists were apparently from Pakistan, and have been neutralized by the joint assault team of J&K Police, RR (Rashtriya Rifles) & CRPF team. The operation was conducted yesterday late night, it was raining but the joint team from the forces kept their cool in the chill weather and neutralized the militants in Unisoo Handwara. The Jammu-Kashmir police chief SP Vaid has applauded the team in a tweet post the encounter. The reports have revealed that the search operation of the area is underway and soon the identity of the militants will be revealed. The operation is another morale booster for the security forces claiming that they have killed more than 200 insurgents in the Kashmir Valley this year. The year was a successful one as far the success in neutralizing the threat is considered. The Indian Army has been able to avenge all the attacks that were held on them. The series of effective counter-insurgency operations and encounter resulting in the death of Pakistan sponsored top militant commanders namely Abu Dujana of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar’s nephew Tallah Rashid, JeM’s Mehmood Bhai, LeT’s Waseem Shah and Hizbul Mujahedeen’s Sabzar Ahmad Bhat.
